About Mechanical Department :-

Since its inception in 2009, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Knowledge Institute of Technology is one of the well-built departments of KIOT which offers B.E. Mechanical Engineering and M.E.-Industrial Safety Engineering. It is being led by the eminent faculty members comprising of 3 Ph.Ds, 4 pursuing Ph.D. and rest are M.E. / M.Tech. with 5-22 years of Academic / Industrial / Research experience.

 

The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides high quality knowledge based education and discipline. The Professors give individual attention to the students and motivate them to achieve their professional goals.

 

The Department has conventional and research laboratories. The CAD/CAM laboratory has Ansys, CFD, Soildworks, MATLAB, Think3 design and EDGECAM software for manufacturing.

 

The Internal Combustion laboratory has research level setup of exhaust gas analyzer, smoke meter with data lock acquisition and R&AC testing instruments.

 

Our faculty’s PaperPublishing rate is average of one paper per year in International and National Journal respectively. Our publishing rate is average of one paper per year in International Conference and three per year in National Conference.

 

Every year each Faculty is undergoing minimum 10 days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on different topics.

 

Our senior faculty memberhad done industrial consultancy work to sugar process industry’s ventilation work, solar power drying unit to sago factory and heat exchanger design to heat exchanger manufacturing industry.

 

Areas of research in the department are vacuum cooling, Ergonomics, Condensation heat transfer, solar energy, Phase change material, Ventilation analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Waste heat recovery and Energy efficient technologies.
